If you fancy a day out eating delicious kai, browsing food and product stalls, listening to inspiring presenters talk on a range of topics, and watching live performances then head to Whangarei on November the 25th to Whangarei's second vegan expo.

Stalls will showcase a wonderful array of vegan products – especially food. There will be food to suit all tastes – pies, raw dishes, burgers, cakes, Mexican, smoothies, ice cream, pizza, sushi, filled baked potatoes, fermented foods and drinks and lots more. Stalls will also sell packaged products, such as cheese, coconut yoghurt, chocolate, and cosmetics. Information stalls organised by The NZ Vegetarian Society, The NZ Vegan Society and SAFE will provide leaflets and the know-how to people wanting to make lifestyle changes.

There will cooking demonstrations by some inspiring and creative chefs,  including Aaron Brunet, Masterchef winner in 2013 and Bite magazine columnist, and Zee Tana, a Masterchef finalist in 2012.

There will be talks to interest us all – on nutrition and health, being a vegan athlete, vegan parenting,  improving the lives of animals and vegan advocacy, and veganic gardening. Speakers include Dr Michael Klaper, a well-known vegan doctor from the USA  who will be presenting in person - as opposed to a skype talk last year. Janette Murray-Wakelin and Alan Murray, the vegan couple who inspired the world by running a marathon per day around Australia for 366 consecutive days on a raw foods diet, will be speaking and their new film “RAW -The Documentary” will be premiered in NZ at the Expo.
