“We are extremely excited to have secured Nitro Circus for Whangarei for the first time ever as part of the New Zealand 2017 tour,” said Venues and Events Marketing and Events Manager Rachel O’Gorman.

“This will be a once in a lifetime opportunity for extreme sports enthusiasts from across Northland to come along and enjoy some of the best motocross, BMX, skateboarding and crazy stunts in their own backyard.

“It is being held in the middle of Northland and Auckland Anniversary weekend, so there will be a huge crowd from right across the region and from Auckland, so it will be great for the local economy, attracting lots of visitors.

Mrs O’Gorman said the Venues and Events team is continuously working to attract new events to the district for residents and visitors to enjoy.

“It’s great to have the support from Whangarei District Council and the Northland Events Centre Trust to do so. This is going to be massive so get your tickets now and don’t miss out!”
