Whangarei Fritter Festival - 11:00am to 7:00pm - Saturday 28 March 2020

The 8th Whangarei Fritter Festival will be held on Saturday 20 March 2020.

The Fritter Festival is a world-class wine, food and music festival showcasing the best of Northland's fritter culture. Join us for a day and night dedicated to the not-so-humble fritter: from generational whanau recipes to exotic deep fried concoctions, this is a true gourmand's delight.

The 2020 Fritter Festival is all about tradition. We're challenging chefs from across Northland to bring us their best traditional, old-school fritter recipes, using ingredients that will really put Northland on a plate. Think it sounds simple? Don't be fooled! These chefs have more than one trick up their sleeve...

Groove to the outdoor vibe with a chilled wine, a 5 star fritter and a crowd of like-minded foodies. Fritter 2020 - it's Northland, but not as you know it.

The top restaurants and cafes will battle it out for the annual Best Fritter Trophy and you get to vote in the People's choice award.

Fritter Festival is proudly presented by Whangarei District Council.

Festival tickets are available from Eventfinda and Te Manawa, The Hub Information Centre at the Town Basin, Whangarei.
