Ake Ake Vineyard

Situated in a sunny spot just outside Kerikeri, we grow, make and bottle wines from our own Organic vineyard and from grapes grown by other small local growers. We make our wines traditionally and our winery is Organically audited.

Our range of award winning wines include Chambourcin, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Gewurztraminer, Syrah, La Douce, Port and a few more.

We have a cellar door where you can taste all our wines and offer vineyard tours.

The very popular Vineyard Restaurant is open for lunch and dinner all year, everyday in the summer, and has an ever changing menu offering everything from platters to a full three course meal, romantic meal for two or an opulent wedding.

NorthTec’s hospitality programmes are award winners. Including regular medals awarded at the prestigious Nestle Toque D’or competitions.

The Apprentice Restaurant offers fine dining with beautiful meals prepared for and served by NorthTec’s hospitality students. Cafe Divine

Opened in November 2011, Cafe Divine has enjoyed huge success since then as both a cafe and takeaway venue for Indian and Western food. Cabinet food is available and is all homemade, with the pies being a particular favourite of the locals.

In May they extended the cafe to include a fully licensed and BYO wine restaurant which has become equally as popular coming in for both lunch and evening meals.

Cafe Divine Indian Restaurant serves traditional Punjabi as well as popular Indian fare. All the dishes are available to be served either hot, medium or mild.

Nearly two centuries ago, the first grapevines were planted at Kerikeri.   That was the work of Samuel Marsden, the driving force behind the establishment of Anglican mission stations in New Zealand.

Nearly two decades ago, Rod and Cindy MacIvor followed in his footsteps with the establishment of the vineyard and wine estate they named after him.

Just a few minutes drive from Kerikeri village, Marsden Estate offers wine sales, tastings and tours, with innovative cuisine to complement its award winning wines. Okahu Estate

The Pioneer of the renaissance of wine making in Northland, Monty Knight welcomes visitors to his cellar door at Okahu Estate.

The Winery produces two brands, 'Okahu Estate' and 'Shipwreck Bay'. The cellar door is open all summer long as well as some winter hours with free tasting of their award winning wines and a selection of local jams, preserves and olive oil.

Sailfish Cove Wines

Sailfish Cove Wines is the only vineyard and winery on the Tutukaka Coast.  It sits on a hill overlooking the Poor Knights Islands and features a number of spectacular terraces carved around the hill. 

Harvie and Gaylene Ferguson planted the vineyard 20 years ago and today create a range of handcrafted wines including Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Riesling, Shiraz, Merlot and Chambourcin. All wines are made on site from grapes grown on site.  Cellar door by appointment.
